Profiles4Care has been named Competition Organising Partner of the Year by WorldSkills UK
Responsible for delivering the WorldSkills UK Health and Social Care Competition in partnership with WorldSkills UK, Profiles4Care was praised for the work it has undertaken to engage the health and social care industry with skills competitions.
Designed to raise standards in industry and training in over 60 skill areas, WorldSkills UK Competitions enable apprentices and learners to develop their technical and personal skills, while employers can use the competitions to benchmark their apprenticeship and training programmes with organisations throughout the UK.
Profiles4Care delivered a highly successful competition cycle in 2015 including managing the competition finals which were held at The Skills Show. The high standard of the competition resulted in five competitors being selected by Find a Future to train as part of Squad UK for WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017.
Dr Neil Bentley, Chief Executive, WorldSkills UK said: “I would like to congratulate Profiles4Care and thank them for their ongoing commitment and hard work. They have worked tirelessly to deliver a competition that drives excellence in the health and social care industry. At a time when this important sector is experiencing skills shortages, the work of Profiles4Care is crucial.
“All our Competition Organising Partners play a vital role to the ongoing development of the WorldSkills UK Skills Competitions. Working together, we are able to design skills competitions that help meet employers’ skills needs, ensuring the competitions remain an important mechanism for raising standards in apprenticeship and training programmes and attracting more young people into vocational careers routes across the UK.”
Marc Jones, Director, Profiles4Care said: “To achieve Organising Partner of the year is fantastic and a true testimony to our partners’ commitment and the support from everyone involved in the delivery of the Health and Social Care competition over the year. Our involvement in WorldSkills UK gives us the opportunity to work with professionals and experts from many sectors within vocational training, all of whom are working hard to give the competitors the chance to challenge themselves and reach their potential.”
